In this section we look at the Southern Goa Beaches from Panaji to Palolem in the far south.

Down stream from Panjim on the southern shore of the Mandovi river, popular with kite fliers

Located just inside the Zuari river, a curved beach and jetty, this is the Jet Set beach

Located near the International airport, great for plane spotters, very quiet from a people, population point of view, but you will need a pair of ear plugs.

This beach has been called "The Best Beach in the World", a big claim and probably almost correct, the beach is the best that Goa has to offer, a gentle curved beach with a headland at one end and an island at the other, shelters the beach from the waves of the Arabian sea, the beach has a firm bed and is a joy to walk on, all the shacks and accomodation huts are located within the tree line at the rear of the beach, there is a small shopping street where all manner of overnight shopping can be obtained, the area has its own web site www.palolem.com overnight huts will cost from 500 to 1500 rupees depending on,  on suite facilities, remember to take your ipod or book or even your guitar.
